The Dry Run.

About The Dry Run

The Dry Run answers one question: which interview prep tool should you use for the interview you have coming up? It is written by The Dry Run editors and published by Dreamwork, a company run by Ponder Labs, Inc.. Every tool fact links to the tool maker's own page, and no tool maker paid to appear.

Who publishes The Dry Run?

Dreamwork (our publisher) pays for and publishes The Dry Run. Dreamwork (dreamworkhq.com) is an AI job search agent that auto-applies for you, finding roles that fit your resume and tailoring each application. Its founders are Colin Johnson (CEO) and Ben Adamsky (CTO). Dreamwork works on the step before the interview, getting applications out, and does not sell interview practice. That is why it is not ranked anywhere on this site.

We say so in the footer of every page, and beside Dreamwork's name where a page mentions it. No interview prep company paid to appear here.

How does The Dry Run work?

  • Each fact about a tool comes from that tool's own site, with a link and the date we read it.
  • We do not claim to have tested tools we have not used, and we publish no ratings, reviews or success rates.
  • When a page changes, its "Updated" date changes and the changelog says what changed.

Why is it called The Dry Run?

A dry run is a rehearsal before the real thing. That is what every tool on this site is for. We set the picks like a debate flowsheet, where each claim sits in a column next to the answer it gets.
